Irene Rettger Requiem Mass Thursday

Irene Rettger of Spring Hill died on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the age of 69. Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, at St. Boniface Church. There is no visitation. Obituary in the Bradford Era.

Rita Nappier Requiem Mass Monday

Rita M. Nappier of Spring Garden passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at age 71. Visitation is on Sunday, November 5, from 2–4 and 6–8 PM at Ball Funeral Home & Chapel, 600 Dunster Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15226. 

Her funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 6, at St. Boniface Church. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 700 Soose Road.

Events Oct. 29th — November 3rd; New Video

  • XKSunday, October 29 is the Feast of Christ the King. Following the 11 AM High Mass, there will be a procession with the Blessed Sacrament in the Church, and after the procession, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the altar until 3 PM. At that time we will have benediction and reposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
  • Wednesday, November 1 is All Saints’ Day, a holyday of obligation. Low Mass at 9 AM and High Mass at 7 PM.
  • Thursday, November 2 is All Souls’ Day. Again, Masses at 9 AM and 7 PM. A plenary indulgence, applicable only to the Poor Souls, is granted to those who visit any parish or public oratory on All Souls’ Day and there recite one Our Father and one Credo. Also see last year’s post about the Month of the Poor Souls.
  • Friday, November 3 is First Friday, with Mass at 7 PM, followed by a holy hour.

Saint John XXIII Parish celebrates Mass daily in the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite – that is, the Traditional Latin (or Tridentine) Mass. Father James W. Dolan is Pastor of the parish.
